Got some crafty time last night!

And my space shows it!! Also, my Nestabilites dies arrived, so I had to use them in my Cuttlebug ;)

I got this 8x8 paper stack for $1.50 at my LSS' Garage Sale a few weeks ago, nice huh?? I love Cosmo Cricket!

These were fun! The sentiments were all included in the stack on 2 sheets of paper. I just cut them apart and mounted them on cardstock, and away I went!

For the I {heart} you one I used a 1" square punch on the scraps, it turned out great!

The first one in this pic I used the 1" punch as well.

Do you have the Wild Card cartridge?

I just got mine the other day at Michaels and haven't even used it yet, but I found this very cool post on the Obsessed with Scrapbooking blog.

It details each card measurement and the appropriate size to cut the envelope to match, very handy!

My new toy!

And it arrived a few days early!!

I ordered a Cuttlebug and a ton of embossing folders from www.Joann.com, since they were all 40% off plus $2.95 s/h!!

Another stationary box

These are so fun to make! I am putting it in my Etsy Store along with the other one I made.

Also, I finally broke down and bought a Copic Marker. They are a very high quality drawing pen, and they are fabulous for blending and coloring in stamped images. They are kinda spendy, around $4-$6, so I just started with one :) I bought a C1 (cool gray number 1) at Dakota Arts here in town.

These were my favorite cards! The faerie stamp came from M's in the $1 bin, and there were two stamps in the package.

I colored in the faerie with watercolor pencils and Stickles, and also outlined it with the Copic marker or a faint shadow. Love it!

Have you seen this lady???

She is amazing!!!!!!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY

What's for dinner tonight...

We're having ham hocks and black eyed peas, thanks Sarah!!

I have made this quite a fw times and it is so yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmy!!

1 bag dried black eyed peas
smoked ham hocks (I use 2-4, depending on the size)
8 cups water
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 tablespoon red pepper flakes
lots of S&P
3-4 cloves of garlic, chopped or minced
1/2 bag frozen okra

You can soak the beans overnight in water, but I prefer the faster method! Rinse the beans, and then boil them on the stove for 5 minutes. Add everything to a large crockpot except the okra and cook all day on low. About 30 minutes to an hour before serving, add the frozen okra and stir. When you are ready to eat, remove the ham hocks from the crock pot. Remove the skin and the bones and shred the meat. Return it to the pot and serve over rice, delicious!!
