Breast Cancer and Mary Kay!
What does this have to do with my walk you might ask?? Well last night I had a brilliant idea! I decided to place an order with Mary Kay and ALL OF THE PROFITS will be donated to this cause. There are some fabulous products to try, so check them out! If you are running low, or have never tried the products, here's a great opportunity to place an order and support a very important cause!
Ok, so here's the deal. I will be placing my order on Sunday evening at 5 PM. Since I do this mainly for myself, I don't have the current catalogs or a MK website. My friend and sales director Wendy, has a Mary Kay website at http://www.blogger.com/ so please take a peek and find what you like. Remember, 100% of the profits will be donated to this walk! So check out Wendy's site, but don't place your order online there. Email me a list of what you would like (including item numbers, color, size, etc.) and I will place the order. I can take payment by check or through paypal.com, and I will even ship your products to you when they arrive.
Please feel free to forward this to your friends and family!
Thank you so much for your support!

New stuff from J's
Here is a link to the whole set.
And they had a bunch of new Heidi Grace stuff in their sewing section. Most of it is stuff I already have like Fiskars cutting mats and scissors, but these were all decorated by Heidi Grace. She is one of my favorite designers, I LOVE all her stuff and she is from Seattle, so kinda local!

3day Expo tomorrow morning!
As you ladies may know, a few of us are doing this walk in September! There is an event tomorrow in Seattle called an expo, and here is a little info....
"Get in The 3-Day spirit at the Expo. It’s an exciting and educating gathering of Breast Cancer 3-Day walkers, crew members, volunteers and others involved in the fight against breast cancer. It’s like a big 3-hour pep rally for the Breast Cancer 3-Day community, to get you inspired, informed and ready to hit the ground walking. Wear your milestone badge, and reward yourself with the “attended Expo” sticker. Be sure to bring your friends and family to enjoy the fun with you!
There will be a 10-mile training walk starting and ending at the Expo location. Please be there by 6:30 am for sign-in and stretching. The walk will leave promptly at 7:00 am."
A few of my friends and I have a team called "Saving Jenny's Jugs" in honor of my friend Kim's sister-in-law Jenny. We drove down to Seattle tonight and are in a hotel room so we can be up bright and early for the walk. It is about an hour and a half drive so we didn't want to do it in the morning! I will of course be taking lots of pics and let you all know how it goes!

RIP William Joseph Duplantis
My husband is doing alright, and is content that his father is no longer suffering. He was able to get a few days of bereavement time off from his work, so he is keeping busy around the house. We told the kids today and I don't think they quite grasp that Granda Will won't be around anymore. So far the only thing they have lost is a hampster :(
His wife is handling the arrangements and there will be a memorial sometime soon.
I have never had to tell someone such hard news! She called me at home when Kasoma was at work. I had to call and have him paged, and then call his sister also to let her know. He came home and we went out to his dad's house and his sister was already there. Will's wife had called someone from hospice, and they arrived right as they were inside saying their goodbyes.
It was very sad because we have never been close to his wife but I could tell how upset she was. The thing that has been on my mind the most is my husband's half-brother. We found out about him a few years ago when he contacted us, and him and his wife were coming up here next month to meet Will for the first time They live in TX and we are in WA so not very close, and I just feel so sad for him.
